On my way again!!

I recently found out that my insurance (blue cross/blue shield of Ill.) now covers the VSG.  I immediately made an appointment with Dr. Roslin at the NOrthern Westchester Hospital since he now has an  office there and it is much closer and easier for me.  I went to my appointment on Thursday , Dec. 2.  He is only there on thursdays so he does his surgeries in the morning and the first appointments start at 2:45.  Fortunately that day he was not held up in surgery , however, he was waiting for some media people to come as he was doing an interview so he was very quick.  He did however, give me the time to ask any questions. I have to again get cardiac clearance and now I also need pulmonary clearance.  I also need to get an upper GI and have a nut appointment.  I made an appointment for follow up on Jan. 6but because of the pulmonary issues I may need to postpone it for a few weeks so I can get the testing in and pass. He wants me to try and lose 15 lbs if I could. I had lost 35 lbs on the medical weight loss program and have since gained 11 of those lbs back but I've started again and have lost 4 lbs since my visit on Thursday.  I think I will be able to manage the 15......I hope considering I retain so much fluid. Tomorrow I will contact the Nut at NWH and see what she wants me to do. I am very excited and motivated and I am praying that the pulmonary end of this does not stop me from having this surgery. I am going to stay positive and do anything I can to make this happen.  I just keep seeing 6 months from now and picture a healthier new me.
