The Family's here!

Jun 29, 2011

What a day! The Belgians have arrived, and so today started with my waking up at 5:30am to starting hanging with Annie and her girls. We made breakfast, sat outside on the back patio, headed to the playground, took a nice walk, all this.. before 7.30am.

Soooo not my typical day.

After I saw my husband off in the morning on his way to work, the day truly began. Lots of Xbox Kinnect dancing games, sport games, running upstairs to the "playroom" to do dances and be silly. Than the drive to Best Buy/Costco and the Bakery for fresh bread for the kids. THe kids are bored, so we head home, first stopping at the diner.

OMG, it's not even noon yet!!

Back home, for another walk, some games, some running around, and then back to finish some shopping. Off to WalMart for an inflatable pool for the girls, some Barbies for the new dollhouse in the playroom, and a few other items. Then its home to make dinner, draw up calendars of activity, give medication, clean up with girls, get them ready for bed, do the ironing, and here it is, 11pm and I have finally had a moment to myself to check email/forums.

This day has gone by in a whirlwind, and it makes me so grateful to be getting my DS in August. There is no way i'd be able to have a child of my own and keep up with this level of energy at my current weight.  Climbing on the jungle gyms trying to catch my neices just brought to light how terribly unhealthy i am. I cannot wait to lose this weight and actually run after one of them on the playground and catch them for a tickle assault!!

Just thinking of the many things I will be able to do, and how much healthier I"ll feel post surgery. I want to live again. And i want to have my own children. But most importantly, I want to be healthly enough to give them a good and active life, and lead by example.
