7 months 9 days

SO... i got the job!  and it's really cool!  it's a two month contract, with potential to extend indefinitely and possibly even regular employment.  the thing i really am happy about, aside from the money (it's lucrative) is that it 1) combines both branches of my work history, so i don't feel like i've wasted half my life or the graduate degree i got into hock up to my neck to earn and 2) it gives me experience in a field that i can build into a business of my own, eventually.

the challenging part of course is that i'm going to have to work very hard for the money, and i'm already exhausted after two days.  this week i managed to cook a weeks worth of food on sunday, but i don't know how long i can keep up this kind of pace.  the kind of good part is it's a writing job, and i'm climbing the walls a bit, which is actually good because i'm craving physical activity for the first time in a long time.  i'm thinking about bringing sneakers so i can take a lonnnng walk at lunch or even maybe run a bit.  the really hard part is going to be maintaining my good eating and not getting into convenience food.  at least now i can afford some more expensive treats, like jerky, that i can bring to work and snack on to keep my protein up.

i'm struggling again with the fluids, so i'm really focussing on that this week.
