I had Laproscopic Gastric Bypass surgery on September 20th, so that makes today my 2 week anniversary.

I anticipated a lot of pain and discomfort after surgery.  BUT It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  Even in the surgical recovery room I didnt take morphine every time the nurse asked.  I was up and walking around the next day, although a little slower than usual.  I had surgery on a Monday morning and was discharged from the hospital by Wednesday afternoon.   

I had my surgical follow-up with Dr. Hans Schmidt on Thursday 09/30.  I was down 17 lbs.  My discomfort / pain was gone and I was off the pain meds.  My blood sugar was under control.  Daily readings were constantly in the 90s.  I have been on strictly liquids since surgery, so I will have to see what happens once food in re-introduced.
