The Wait!!!!!

Apr 20, 2013

Hello OH Friends,

I have one more class and I will find out if I'm able to have the WLS surgery, next step is insurance approval. I know that surgery is the best option for me towards a life of being healthy. My ultimate goal to be healthy, not hurt, eliminate all medications, get off of the C-Pap machine and exercise without pain angry!  I know that in order for me to be successful changing my mindset is part of the process......I am working on that daily because I realize that this is a life change that is worth my life journey to a healthy life! Yes, I'm looking forward to shopping in the normal clothing sections, being able to see my feet and other areas below the waist...Lol! enlightened My prayer is for a summer surgery date, successful surgery without any complications, and a new healthy transformation! I have struggled with my weight on and off since middle school. I can loose the weight in the past but keeping it off has always been a struggle.

So, the last three years I have really, really, really.....had a hard time with losing the weight especially since the sleep apnea diagnosis. My Neurologist told me that sleep apnea patients have a more difficult time with weight loss. I also found out that I have a pinched nerve in my back and foot drop this keeps me from exercising. I'm able to do resistance bands but when I try the treadmill I can't walk longer than 10 min without back pain or numbness/tingling in my feet!  I am hopeful that it is well and good, and I will be on my way to a healthy new ME!!!!!!!

Peace and Blessings,

LaKeitha
