Revision done, I have a sleeve!

Oct 09, 2014

I am back home  from Mexicali with my sleeve. At the back of my mind I had the fear that I would not be able to have it done and the dr would just remove my band and I would wake up sleeveless.  Needless worrying as it turned out. I have a sleeve and am ready to embark on this new stage.

My revision surgery was uneventful  I was out of surgery in under 2 hours,  I was told that there was lots of scar tissue and adhesions to work through.  The day after surgery was  the  roughest, I knew exactly when I was due for another dose of medication as I started to feel the pain.   The pain meds came automatically through a pump so it did not take long to kick in. Next days at the hospital were easier and I was walking, blowing into the spirometer and sipping as best I could.

My entire surgery experience was a so many have described it,EXCELLENT!  Dr. Wilhemy is a very skilled surgeon and a  kind man, and a  sleeve patient too. I take  my  hat off for the staff at Mexicali Bariatric Center.  Very professional all the way through from the driver to the cleaning personnel to the doctors, nurses and ladies at the office. I could not have asked or hoped for any thing  better.  Anybody hesitant in having surgery in Mexico fear not, this is a safe and professional center, it is worth paying a little  more than other places to have this level of care. I could have received this at the US for double of what I spent here.

Will update later.
