Surgery date set!

Finally! It seemed so easy for me to get my insurance approval but the time between then and getting my surgery date seemed soooo long. I thought that I would get my date right after my approval so everyday that went by felt like it was taking forever.  I had to beg basically for them to go ahead and set my date.  They wanted to wait until after my primary care doctor's clearance on the 19th but I really needed to have the date for work and requesting time off and getting all my little ducks in a row.  So the coordinator finally relented and let me have my way! :-) Success!!

I have to start my pre-op diet on the 19th.  For two weeks, I have to do low carb, low fat and high protein.  I then have to do a week of liquids starting on the 2nd. I really want to go ahead and start eating lowfat and lowcarb this weekend.

I am the kind of person that works best with charts and lists and plans. I have already made a list of things that i need to do before the surgery and have started stockpiling things for after the surgery.  I haven't found the protein shakes that I really love yet but I am about to order the Unjury sample pack offline. 

I know that this month is going to fly by but it's going to be hard to keep my surgery and my diet in the forefront. I have plans every weekend from now until the weekend before my surgery... It's going to be hard to be traveling and going out and keep my eating in mind.  I also don't want to drink alcohol anymore just to help my liver out.  I'm not a big drinker but when I am out with my friends i will drink some... It's hard to be around people drinking and being out and not have drinks or shots with the group.  I guess I just have to keep my goals in front of me and try to resist temptation... i'm not great at that as my weight reflects but I will try!
