It's getting closer now.

Aug 08, 2013

I am working my way down the checklist of all the things that have to happen before the approval request goes to the Insurance company.  Pap smear - check. Mammogram - check. Psych Eval - check. Primary Care Provider OK - check. EGD and Colonoscopy scheduled for end of the month. EKG scheduled for end of the month.  Lab tests will happen after the insurance company approval closer to surgery.

I am excited and nervous, and looking forward to it.  I am telling people that I am going to have the sleeve done.  I've telling my SO things that start with 'after my surgery...' to prepare him for the changes I have to make.  Sorry, I can't share that desert with you.  No, you don't need to fix me dinner. Please don't buy that and keep it in the house. Etc.

My guesstimate for surgery is October at this rate.  Perfect - right before the holidays and I will physically unable to 'cheat' then, it sets the stage for the permanent change I am striving for.

I am so very tired of being the person on the plane that no one wants to sit next to.  Tired of the look on people's faces who haven't seen me in a while to see how big I've become. Tired of being out of breath.  Just tired of being fat.
