59 pounds to go? Seriously?

Feb 04, 2012

I just did my weekly weigh in. The past few weeks, I've been losing 3-5 pounds. This week? I lost 8 pounds. Holy moly! I moved out on my own last week and I guess my mind and body is happier. The apartment I moved into has a really nice gym and I've been doing Billy Blanks Taebo DVD's (I'm sure my downstairs neighbor LOVES me haha). I've also been really conscious of what I've been getting at the store, and it's been nice living on my own and not having to worry about what other people are bringing into the house. I've also noticed that I'm not stressed out and I'm actually sleeping for 8 hours a night.
I would also like to thank to 22 inches of snow that we got over the last 3 days. Between digging my car out and my elderly neighbor's cars out, I've been doing more cardio.
Now back to the weight loss. When I got on the scale this morning, I had to get on and get back off a few times. I couldn't believe my eyes. 59 pounds to go? Really? Wow! Keep in mind, I had my surgery on November 22 2011. That's barely 3 months post op and I'm so close to my goal weight. Unfortunately, I've noticed some signs of my rapid weight loss, like extra skin in the arm area and the "girls" are starting to droop. I've mentioned these things to my Fiance and he just smiles and says "Who cares, you're FINALLY healthy and happy. And I couldn't be more proud of you." He tells me on a daily basis how proud he is of me and how I was so brave to do what I did. He knows that I love cheese, so when he's at the store and sees a new type of reduced fat/low fat cheese he gets it for me. Or if there's a new flavor of Crystal Light, he buys it. Whenever I go over to spend the weekend at his house, he always makes sure that there is the right stuff for me to eat. He also never eats junk food in front of me anymore. How did I get so lucky?
