Thanks For Making Me a Fighter!

Apr 04, 2011

The first and only time I went for gastric bypass surgery, I wasn't on top of it as I should have been..not by any means! I took no for an answer when I shouldn't have! I am a fighter and I have been letting so much go by these past years that I should have fought for, that I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Certain things I can't control in my life right now. I am entitled to certain things, simple things like respect from certain people that I just don't get. I can't force anyone to respect me but I fight against those injustices. So why can't I fight if I am denied surgery when I know I need it and it will prolong, perhaps SAVE my life!?

I did some research to find out if my insurance will cover my surgery. I didn't want to go on rumors or hearsay; I wanted to see it in black and white MYSELF! I did! And of course it has the typical stipulations but I meet those with no problems! So, I called and set up to go to the WLS seminar at a center in my area. While it is not a huge step and my insurance has yet to kick in, its a step that is required and one thing on the list I can cross out! So, yay me!

No matter what happens, I am not taking no for an answer! My life depends on it!
