shopping in my closet

May 16, 2011

So I went thru my work clothes because I was getting tired of the saggy pants look and my size 18W pants fit me now!!! Size 20W is more comfortable and size 22 (and up) is falling off!!!! So happy about that! I tried on the regular 18s that I have don't quite fit so I need to lose about 2-3 more inches in the waist before I can officially say I fit into non-plus-sizes. Odd thing is I seem to have lost weight in the face, boobs, butt, hips & thighs before anywhere else. Abdomen is still kinda big and only looking bigger in comparison to smaller hips & thighs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining b/c loss is loss!!! Collarbones are starting to make a comeback and I can kinda feel my ribs if I lay down. DH says he can really see the difference in me and some clients have noticed the weight loss. I tell pretty much everyone who will listen that I had RNY and am considering buying one of those "I love my RNY" tshirts......

I went to my PCP for my 1 month labs. On a side note, I'm wondering if my usual PCP has died b/c I never see him! This is the 2nd time I've seen the nurse practitioner..... She's nice and all but I'd really like to show off my weight loss to him! After all, he's been the one medical professional who's really supported me in my decision to have surgery. Anyway, so back to the labs. I fasted since last night and wasn't hungry by 2p but knew I needed to get my vitamins & protein in me ASAP. I just wasn't feeling too well & pretty irritable. So when they couldn't do all the labs at the office, I pouted for about 10 seconds then put my big girl panties on and went to LabCorp. Ugh! I still hate that place. The people there are so rude and they didn't want to accept my lab order b/c it had the wrong dr's name on it. Um, my surgeon's new to the hospital so they hadn't quite updated all their paperwork, so I had to call the hospital and have them fax a new order. Thank goodness that I talked to one of the office people who are super nice and could empathize with my situation. So it got faxed over and I had like 8 vials drawn - by this mean lady who gave me trouble in the first place. I just sat there praying "please God just get this over with without complications". For someone with lack of bedside manner, she stuck me in the right place (I pointed out the vein of most success) and I didn't clot the line! Fingers crossed that they did indeed pull all the right tubes b/c I'm gonna be so pissed if my labs aren't done right!

I got almost a whole thing of 30g protein and a serving of meatloaf down so far. I may not get all my calcium in today - have to wait 4 hrs b/w taking my iron & calcium - but at least vitamins are on board and 44g of protein may not be alot but if I have some greek yogurt I'll be at least close to minimum. Made a lot more progress on liquids goal today though....Not being dehydrated is probably why I actually got a vein today! Feel like I'm kinda rambling about goals today.....Well, at least I have tomorrow to make up for the protein & stuff!
