Finally Home

Mar 08, 2015

I came home from Toronto yesterday trip took me 4 hours when it is usually only 2-2.5 hours but with needing to stop to ensure I was eating and drinking it took longer but that is okay with me. I had my first and hopefully last experience with hypoglycemia and have learned my lesson, stop and take the time to eat and don't forget water and snacks when you head out even if you think it's just going to be for a bit because you never know if you are going to get delayed. I think I just over did it on Friday and expended more energy that  I had taken in. It felt awful I was shaky, restless, dizzy, nauseated, drowsy and sweaty. I recognized the symptoms and called the clinic I was advised to drink some OJ and rest and repeat in 15 minutes if symptoms didn't start to resolve and if after 30 minutes there was no improvements go to ER. The 2 doses of OJ helped but I still felt crappy the rest of Friday so I took it easy Saturday and felt much better. I came home yesterday and was greeted by a very excited household. I watched my squidlets go skating, did some grocery shopping and had dinner with my family, I helped bath the boys and put them to bed and it was all so mundane but awesome because I was HOME !!! Thanks to everyone who has sent well wishes and kind words they are very much appreciate :-) OH !!! and I went into surgery at 202 I think she said and this morning I was 189 :-) I started my journey at 236, in March of 2014. The family doctor wanted me to lose 10 lbs before referral 226 on referral date May 2014 and 216 when I started Optifast Feb/16th/2015.
