First Day Back Home

Home now after surgery on Wednesday (4/14/2010) this is Saturday (4/17/2010), I slept so good last night.  I thought it was going to be rough but I had a very deep and restful sleep.

Woke up this morning around 8:00, started by taking my B12, multi-vitamin, and antiacid.  Then made up my protein shake and filled up my 64oz jug ready to meet my protein and water goals for the day.

I had just a couple of problems after surgery.  My veins kept collapsing with my IV so I had 3 IV lines started in 3 days.  I hate IV's!  The other problem was with the gas.  Not with having the gas but rather it was not coming out and it hurt so very bad.  The pain was so severe it brought me to tears.  My wonderful nurse Debbie gave me anti-gas chewable tablet and it then calmed down. 

After I got home and relaxed,took some antigas drops, laid down, and settled in I was able to start releasing some of the gas and I feel much better the next day.

Now on with a regular schedule and doing my school work.  This will help me to replace my addiction to food with the addiction of doing school work.
