Sharon Jones
Still Working...
Jul 11, 2013
It is funny how some people think, prior to this surgery, that it will be the final cure all. I have found over the years that this is definitely not the case. This is a life long commitment just like any other lifestyle change. When you slack off and don't follow the "rules", the weight can and will creep back on. The good news is, after the surgery, you have a tool that you can use again and again. We are all human and we all make mistakes. The key is, catch it and do something about it BEFORE it becomes out of hand again. Lets face it, it has become out of hand for all of us who have had surgery or we would not have had surgery. When you start to lose focus, which happens as the years go by, the main factor is to confront it, don't deny it, don't be ashamed. Admit it, take control again and do what you know you need to do to get it under control. Pull out those old guidelines, focus on your protein, don't graze and get your butt moving. Sometimes when I am dreading the gym, I think to myself, 12 years ago, I said I would give anything to be where I am today, and today I am able to go to the gym, so why would I not go. I made a promise to myself and have to keep it!!
