Are you going to an Obesity Help Event this year? I hope so!

In 2004 I attended my first Obesity Help Event.  I was scared to death because I didn't know anyone.  The only way I could do it was to approach it like a job and that's what I did.  Obesity Help accepted my offer to photograph the event (at no charge of course) so I was off to the races.  My surgery was in 2001 and there was no after care or support groups.  I didn't have a clue what was even going to happen at this thing!  After making a special shirt and packing my camera gear I was ready for whatever was ahead.  Needless to say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Saturday night we had a luau and this is a picture of me, my husband Kevin and Kim.  Kim and I were two of the four women that got in Bo's pre-op pants. (see picture below)  Kim was from my home town in Louisiana and was adorable!

























We all had a wonderful time and there are many more pictures in my albums from several events through the years.
