YES! I've crossed the 50 pound threshold!
Feb 21, 2010
It took nine weeks and three days but the scale this morning said it loud and clear...274.4! Fifty and a half pounds gone from my life forever. I keep visualizing a 50 pound bag of potatoes and realizing how big that is and how heavy that is, and that I have lost that much off of my body. Amazing thought. No wonder I feel better! Next mini-goal: 60 pounds.Made it to the gym 6 times in the past 7 days. I am psyched about that. Today I actually did a whole mile on the treadmill in 20 minutes. Not bad considering that Feb 1, when I started, I was winded at a quarter of a mile. I also am finding it easier to swim laps now and don't need to stop halfway to rest. I know I am no world class athlete and that I have to build up gradually, but it is getting easier and I am enjoying it and every minute I am working out at the gym is a 100% improvement from doing nothing. I am finding the gym membership to be money well spent.
It really is all starting to come together for me now! Yay!
