What an awesome six days (NSVs everywhere!)

Feb 09, 2013

I'm sitting here in Orlando smiling like a crazy person...

My adventure began on Monday when I hopped a plane from Austin. I've flown before and I knew I'd fit in the seat, at least intellectually. The fat girl in my head still didn't believe it. BUT it was the first time I could put the tray table down completely and have PLENTY of room. In fact, I had to slide it closer to me!

It continued on Tuesday when, for the first time in my life, I rode roller coasters. One of my very best friends and I had went coaster hopping at 3 parks in Disney. We rode all the fun stuff. My favorite was Aerosmith's Rock 'n Roller Coaster. That thing was awesome, we rode it twice!

On a non-WLS front, this was the culmination of a dream that my business partner and I had... we rented a large house with a heated pool and spa and had a business retreat with some of our organization's members. It ended up being an incredible experience. We will definitely do it again next year and are considering one for the Fall somewhere on the West coast. It was a great time and I'm so happy and proud that we pulled it off.

For the past six days, I have not stepped a single toe on a scale. I dunno what I weigh. I'm sure an extra pound or two because of sodium and some junk food, but... you know what? It will come right back off again. For now, I'm going to try to wipe the smile off of my face and go to bed. I have a plane to sit my skinny butt in tomorrow to get back home to reality.
