Why am I getting so nervous about surgery?

I am scheduled for surgery at the end of June 2011... the closer I get to the date- the more nervous I am.  I know I am doing the right thing for me but I'm still scared.  Its not so much the pain, it is the part of getting knocked out that I hate.  I am leaving it in God's hands- he will keep me.  I have a great surgeon - and he has an excellent track record.
