What A Year!!!!

It has been quite the year since I had my surgery. I am now 14 months out, about 8lbs till I reach my goal, so far I have lost 174lbs. WOW. I am so blow away by that. It seems so unreal to me that I have lost that much, and I'm not sick, my labs are all good, and I don't look emaciated. I have done more in the last year, then I am sure I have done in the last 10 years. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun. Went to Scotland with my family last fall for 2 weeks. It was a total blast. We never stopped for the 2 weeks we were there. We walked and hiked everywhere. I lost 9lbs on the trip too. My sisters and I decided to walk up the tower at York Minister in York England. It was 275 stairs up a very narrow spiral stair case. I would never of been able to do it before surgery. I don't think I would of fit in the stair case to tell you the truth, that is how narrow it was. I was very proud of myself making it up those stairs. I used to shy away from walking up any stairs if I could before surgery. I wouldn't be able to breath when I got to the top, now I run up the stairs and don't even think about it.The thing that I love best about having WLS is the people I have met since I had this surgery. I have made some awesome friends along my journey. The support I get from them is like no other. They totally get it and understand more then anyone else could.
