Happy ONE Year Anniversary to You! I hope that this post finds you healthy and happy. Please remember to drop by and update your profile from time to time. It's important for others to be able to see how we post-ops do on our journeys. You never know who you might inspire. Have a great day.

Katheleen, You have already made a giant step when you had this surgery. Now, all you have to do is make small steps toward your recovery. I was told the more you walk the better off you will be. Remember each step you make will lead you to a healthier, happier life. I will soon be joining you on December 3rd.

Kathleen-Best of luck when you make it home tomorrow. This is a very difficult thing for anyone to do but you need to be very proud of yourself for making the tough decision. It will eventually heal your mind and body. Diane

unofficial angel reporting - just spoke to kathy on the phone. she sounds good. she's going home tommorow! YEAH! she hasn't been up walking much and she's concerned about that but after talking with her i know she'll be just fine. she could use some well wishes on her surgery page, so please let's give her all our support. sharon

I am Kathleen's sister and I am currently out of town. I have spoken with my mother and she tells me the doctors state the surgery went well. Kathy was reportedly in good spirits immediately after the surgery, but has since gone into a major slump. The medical staff report that she will not get out of bed and that they cannot make her (she is now 3 days post-op). My mother is very concerned. She said that Kathy has said several times that she wishes she could speak to someone who has gone thru the surgery. For some reason, she is not answering her phone at Loyola. My mother says she can't reach it??? At any rate, this is an SOS if there is anyone who has been thru this and could go to see Kathy at Loyola, you will be a Godsend. Thank you.
