Hi Rachel, You've done a fantastic job with your weight loss and you had surgery on my birthday, June 11th!! I'm glad that you made it through the accident, I know, having been through a very serious one in 1990, exactly what you've been through. Still not totally recovered, but guess it's as far as I'm ever going to be. Are you at goal? BIGGHUGGZZZZ

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author) FROM MY HEART TO YOU~*~Hugs~*~

Rachel - I saw your question about having a numb spot on your thigh. I bet it's your LEFT thigh right? In any event, this is not an uncommon result of the surgery. I'm 7 mos. out from surgery and I still have it. From the discussions I've had with my surgeon and the research I've done on this, it typically goes away within the first year. What causes it is that during your surgery, they strap you on the OR table with a strap that goes across your hip area. The strap causes nerve damage in some cases like ours. Hopefully, for both you and I, this will be only temporary. Good luck with everything.

Rachel, Go back to GNC and buy a "Pure Pro" chocolate shake, they are the best with 35 gms of protein. They should have some in the fridge cold for you to try, that way if you like it you can buy some more, if not, they may not make you pay for it! Also, don't forget about the 20% off the first week of the month!

*Unofficial Angel reporting* Rachel had her surgery today, I spoke with her briefly on the phone--she was very groggy but said all went well with the exception of a little trouble with an IV line. She is anxious to see me tomorrow (my surgery date!) and we will report back when we return.
