I tried to post this the night before Nancy's surgery and hadn't been accepted to post yet, so I am doing it today. I am Nancy's Mother. I have never been so proud of my daughter as I am today. She has taken her life into her own hands and is accomplishing something to have a healthy and happy future. I have been 300# and some plus for 45 years and so, I know how limited at that size we are. In my head I want to do a million things and physically have been limited on some of them. I always did everything possibly could so my daughters wouldn't pay for my obesity. I remember Nancy getting off the school bus in Kindergarten and running into the house and saying "Mommy are you fat"?, and I told her yes I was, and why was she asking that question. She said the kids on the bus told her, "you have a fat Mom". Up until then she didn't know I was supposed to look different. I am so grateful to God that she is able to have this surgery, she has worked so very hard getting prepared for it and is really excited. I thank all of you for the support she has recieved on these boards. Her son is, of course concerned for her and is already missing her, but she has prepared him to know what to expect. He is really excited and has tons of things they are going to do together soon as she gets over her surgery and the pounds start to go. Again I am so very happy for her and know this is going to add a lot of healthy, active years to her life. I love you Nancy---MA

nancy read your profile....and cried ..with all you went thru..you are lucky to still be with us,,my friend,hang in there,with all that blood lost,it's a wonder they let you come home...at least you were released on friday the 13th and not having your wls on friday the 13th ....someone up above was watching over you....God bless.....{{{{{hugs{}}}}}}}}} Trish

I am sorry that I didn't get to post on your surgery page before you had surgery. Please accept my apology. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Put your LOVE, FAITH, and HOPE in GOD. LOVE always being the strongest of all three. He will take care of ALL your needs. Praying that your healing will be complete and swift. Be encouraged that this is the right thing for you.
