Welcome to the other side, Jaunine. I wanted to wish you a sppedy recovery and to let you know that I will always be here for you, friend. We have developed a bond, with both of us going through this process. May you have a happy journey with many, many new experiences. Remember to walk and get your water and supplements in, if you have to hold your nose or whatever. Protein is essential, with this surgery. You are truly BLESSED, my dear friend. God is GOOD!

I talked to Jaunine's husband, Willie and surgery went well. She was very sleepy and resting, when he left her. While I was on the phone with him, the hospital called and said that she was sitting up. He said that shw wasn't complaing of anything but a little soreness. Peace and Blessings!

Hello Juanine - Congratulations it's finally a "reality", surgery is over and you're on the road to a healthier and thinner new life!!! This is a second chance to LIVE again. No words can express the freedom that comes with this surgery. My humble advice? Walk as much as possible after surgery. It'll be tough at times and you'll find that you'd much rather cuddle with your pillow then get out of bed. Don't!! Get up and walk, walk and walk it'll help with the overall recovery. As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging it back. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, YOU are worth it. Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water. It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily. CELEBRATE all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on numbers, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey ....Hugs and smiles : )
