Question:
How do you get a hit counter on your profile?
Can someone explain to me in very simple terms how you get those hit counters on your profile? I've noticed even though some people don't have a website of their own they still have a counter and can tell how many people are reading their profile. Sometimes I think I'm the only one reading it. Hello....and YES, I did look! Saber is adorable!! As far as the web
counters go, I got mine at the following website:
http://www.digits.com/create.html It's a free counter, just fill out the
info the website requires, and one will be assigned to you. You will then
need to add that info (that they give you) to your "general info"
section of your profile. If you have problems after you've gotten your
"free counter" assigned to you, send me an email and I'll try to

I also got my counter from Digits.com. If you click my name and go to my
profile, at the bottom you will see my counter and it has a link to
digits.com. It is really easy to set-up, but I, too, am here is you have
any questions about setting it up. I am sure glad I put mine on there and
it has been really neato to watch!

Hi, I followed the directions on both my profiles and it said the counter
was created but I dont see it anywhere! I looked at both of you guys
profiles and yours were there! It is really cool but where is mine? Help!

Maybe it takes a few hours to get put on? I went back and changed the
answer to Yes on Top Ten list question,i.e., Should your counter be
publicized in the Top Ten list? I said "yes" is that what you
guys did? Mine is still not visible but I looked at the two posters and
they are great! Leslie & Leilani are both there! Thanks for any help!
By the way, my message came up that the web counter WAS created
successfully. Don't understand why it isn't there.

Marilyn, after you get the confirmation from digits.com that your web
counter has been created, you still have to go into your profile (under
general info) and ADD the html text that they gave you on the confirmation
page. If you have problems or need me to help you, just send me an
<b>email</b> since I probably wont check the Q&A's board on
it. Im on my way out the door now, but would be happy to help you input
one when I get home. Good luck!!

UPDATE Thanks for your help. I got the counter up and tried to upload
their logo but all I have is a box with an x in it. They said to save the
wc.gif, I did but how does it get from the file into the profile? Any clue
as to what I am doing wrong?

Hey guys, I don't know how to get the wc.gif. sent to my profile either.
Please help. Now, my profile has a big 1 and the height, dimensions, etc.

Thanks to wonderful Leilani Gibbs I now have a counter! She was so sweet
and put it on for me. Wow it never ceases to amaze me how helpful and
supportive AMOS members are. It is fun to have a counter! Thanks Leilani,
