Question:
Ease of mixing Champion Whey Stack, Sci-Fit, and Nectar

I have recently purchased these protein shakes and was wondering how easy they were to mix. I usually make one up in a water bottle and take it to the YMCA to mix after working out. Then all I have to do is add water and shake. I use Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey and shake 1 1/2 scoops in 4-5oz water. It mixes very easily. I was wondering about CWS's Banana Scream, Nectar's Fuzzy Navel, and Sci-Fit's Cookies-n-Cream specificly. Anyone have any suggestions or advice? How much water works best, or anything? Well Thanks for your time. Take Care. Kim K Waiting for this shipment to arrive is worse than waiting for Xmas when I was a kid! LOL...    — Kim K. (posted on January 29, 2004)

Kim, I use the Sci-Fit, and while I dislike the Cookies-n-Cream, I find that all the flavors mix quite easily. I use a Tupperware shaker and have no trouble at all, though I would recomment carrying the powder in a zipper bag and adding it to the container after the water is in (prevents clumping on the bottom of the container) I keep a variety of flavors of protein in my desk this way, 1 scoop each in the snack size bags, so I have a choice. I use Sci-fit also, and DH and I use raspberry delight and strawberry for the most part (haven't tried cookies and cream.) We find this mixes easily, doesn't taste gritty. (We bought several little battery operated mixers at the dollar store and use those a lot at home, rather than using a shaker.)

The nectar mixes easily with a spoon or shaker bottle. I also just tried pro-complex and it mixes easily with a shaker. Met-Rx I like best mixed in a blender with frozen fruit.

I like the Champion Whey Stack in the chocolate. I also use a Tupperware shaker cup and only need about 4-5 ounces of water with 1 scoop of powder. It mixes very easily and isn't thick or gritty at all.

I recently received my samples of Champion Nutrition Whey and so far, the banana scream is my favorite. I just mixed it with a spoon in 4 oz of water and it mixed very easily. The cocoa mochachino(?) had a watered down taste to me. Maybe becuase I like strong coffee! I'm really glad the protein powders mix with as little as 4 oz of water, because I really don't like them and the pre-made ones in a can are like 12 oz and I can hardly stand drinking that much of them at once.

They will all mix as well as Opti. We usually start with 4 oz water, taste, adjust. You can always add more. Start with too much and you get dirty sock water. Yuck. I like my Stack and Fuzzy with about 7 oz, personally, a lil ice. If I'm going to blend up with chunked ice, I use ProScore 100 + 8 oz + 1/2 C ice, hand blender til the way I like it (maybe 7 secs?). I shake up the others

Kim, you've hit on the reason why Champion Whey Stack is my favorite. I get the chocolate - which tastes good - and I can mix it easily by just putting it in my GNC shaker bottle with 4-6 oz water. All the others I tried stayed gritty unless I used the blender and that's just not very convenient!
