Question:
When insurance paying for Breast Reduction

I'm wonder how much I would be charged if I had a panni done along with my breast reduction. Insurance is paying for the BR but I would have to pay for the panni. Thanks!    — SJP (posted on September 11, 2004)

Did you put in for a panni and get denied? First you need to find out from your PS if he will even do them together. Mind wouldnt NOT.. to long.. Ive heard some will. IF he is even willing to do them together; it would be 'his' costs basically. the rest would fall under your br.

You could qualify for insurance coverage of the panni if you have health (i.e. skin rashes, etc) probelms. The cost for second, self-pay procedures really varies, but many docs are willing to discount their fees in those cases. Also, a panni is nothing like a true abdominoplasty where the muscles are sculpted and some lipo may be done to get you a nice shape. So be sure what you're really going to get !
