Question:
gurgling or rumbling in my stomach and intestines

three days post op and having a lot of gurgling and rumbling. I notice it even when I drink something, I'm sure it's normal, but sometimes it hurts (maybe gas) and sometimes I fell like I should go poopy, but either nothing comes out or when I get up, I still feel the rumbling? is this normal and will it go away soon?    — Big-Dzz (posted on October 17, 2007)

its normal. I'm one month post op and mine still grumbles occasionally. In fact I call my band Gabby because it sounds like it "talks" all the time

Give yourself time to heal. your body is ready for some big changes but it takes time. You sound like you are doing well and what is happening is normal. In a week you will feel much different. I am sooo happy for you. keep in touch. shalmar

It is very normal. I am 9 months post-op and I still get the grumblings. I found that if I eat or drink too fast it happens. My son and I say that it sounds like I have a demon in my pouch. Kind of funny. Good luck.

Extremely normal. I remember going through that and I'm 6 1/2 months post op. I don't miss it (out in public it was kind of embarrassing lol) and it does eventually go away or lessen. Welcome to the losing side, God bless and good luck!

I am 6 days post op and mines is doing the same thing. Yes I also have to poop the liquids out.

So normal sweetie, though not fun! I am just 4weeks post RNY and still happens regularly. It's gas, fluid shifts, and your bowels "waking up," per say. More than likely you do have to poop too. I know TMI but I go through phases of constipation to the runs and the gurgling usually is the indicator. Good luck, you are doing great! Welcom to the losers circle! Take care!! ~Tomi

im sorry, but that was kinda funny. but it is normal. well i dont have mine yet but i know its normal ive been to deminars and ive talked to a lot of people. - kim
