Hi Gwen, most come in different flavors already to mix with milk or water. I use water because I want to save calories. Banana is my favorite, You might check at GNC or even your supermarket. If you get plain you can always jazz it up with coconut extract or any of the extracts sol at the market. Hope this heps, Mickey........

I mix two scoopsful (for 50 grams of protein) of my unflavored, ZERO carbs/sugar, whey protein powder with 2 cups of skim (nonfat) milk. I always add some cinnamon powder because I like it and its also good for you. Depending on my mood, I slice a banana into the mix or add some frozen strawberries (or some other kind of berries). Depending upon the sweetness of the previous additives, I add a tablespoon or so of Splenda powder. I use a good Kitchen Aide blender for the mixing, as good as that blender is supposed to be, I find that there are still lumps left behind -- which I detest. So afterward I pour the concoction into a suitably large jar (for later cool keeping in the refrigerator) and apply my Kitchen Aide <<immersion blender>> to get rid of those pesky lumps. I make this in the morning and sip on it throughout the day when I get hunger pangs. I vary the flavor because ANYTHING gets old and boring after a while, no matter how great it tastes the first time. Sometimes for variety instead of skim milk, I use fruit juice (e.g., cranberry) and skip the added whole fruit. The whole trick is to be inventive and try adding different things so that you will continue to *WANT* to DRINK YOUR PROTEIN. This is my way my way of guaranteeing that I get my required daily intake of protein over the long haul in the years ahead.
