Question:
Is blended egg drop/flower soup okay to use on the thin liquid phase?

Thank you for your help. Kristy    — Kristy (posted on January 11, 2006)

Hi Kristy, When on full liquids I did occasionally eat the egg drop soup. You just have to remember that although the eggs are good for protein it also has a lot of fat in it. I do not see why you couldn't as long as your stomach can tolerate it. It helped me out. Tiffany

Kristy, you can certainly have it, but the question is whether your stomach will tolerate it. One thing nobody told me early on is: Just because you can't handle it now does not mean you will not be able to a year later. You will be able to eat everything, so don't worry. Let your tummy be your guide as to what you can or can't have. We are all different.

Hey Kristy, Funny you should ask this one today , I had egg drop soup last night. I tolerated it well and had asked the cook to use only egg whites to avoid the extra fat. I know some though that are not able to tolerate it. My sister who also had the surgery can tolerate one thing on tuesday and not tolerate the same thing on friday...it changes as we change, and just follow ur instincts. Good luck , I am now 4 weeks out and still experimenting as well......ally
