I;m in Jacksonville, fl. I found a highly recommended Plastic Surgeon and my breast reduction will be covered by my insurance, Yes it will cost me $6000. but I got a medical payment plan and its like $150. a month. I am going to be 49 and my last daughter just turned 18. I firgured its my time to spend some money on me and enjoy my body for a lillte while because it is all starting to head south. Next 5-10 yrs are mine!

Congrats on having surgery! Hopefully you have already been instructed to stop any vitamins or shakes that contain E. I can't tell which forum you posted this question on. The Plastic surgery forum is the best place to find answers to just about anything about plastics. I had a Tummy tuck, BL with augmentation, arms and thighs done back in April. Compression garments suck but then they are also your best friend, so follow your doctors instructions. Make me heal has a special vitamin that is for surgery, I feel it helped with my swelling. My PS told me to up my calories while healing, big mistake for me as I am still up 10 pounds after plastics. Just be prepared for anything, some people breeze through with minimal pain and others say its terrible. I was taking tylenol or ibuprofen after about a week. The drains also were not fun, but a necessary evil, so guard them carefully and be patient. Up your protien now as much as you can and exercise 6 - 8 weeks not being able to exercise really did me in. It is also common to get a lil depressed after surgery so be prepared if you start feeling a lil blue. It will pass and will help to know its normal. Good luck on your surgery and if you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer them for you.

I had a breast reduction in 2009. I am very happy with the results. when I lost 100 pounds with my WLS, I did not lose one cup size! I went from a J cup to a Large B, small C cup. I am thrilled to lose the grooves in my shoulders and my back doesn't ache anymore. It took about a month to fully feel the effects. they will pump you full of water during surgery, so your weight loss will not show until about 2 weeks afterward. Good Luck!

Hi, I had a breast reduction and T incision tummy tuck July '09! Oh my, at first I said "if I had know how much it was going to hurt I would not have done this much surgery" and the nurse I told this to said "call me back in 6 months and tell me how you feel". Well, let me share with you IT IS THE BEST THING I COULD HAVE DONE FOR MYSELF! It is like they say about having a baby "When you see the results you will forget the pain". I love my flat tummy and small breasts. I went from a 42H before weight loss surgery to a 34H and after breast reduction I went to a 34B. I lost 125 pounds down to 125 pounds so you can say I lost 1/2 of myself so I deserved the tummy tuck and breast reduction. My plastics were not covered by insurance so I was a self pay but my plastic surgeon worked with me on paying my bill and gave me discounts because I had been seeing him for 6 years trying to get insurance to pay for breast reduction and HUMANA refused even though I have spinal cartraige problems. I made payments to surgeon and now have it paid off this month. It was all worth it. Besure to watch your nutrition during this time of recovery as you may not feel like eating. ALSO please ask for a pain pump to get you through the first 5 to 6 days, I had this pump and it was a blessing. Just remember the results are all worth what ever pain you might go through. And I am here wishing you the best.

I had a tummy tuck and breast lift in 2003 and the only thing I did not like was that I had to sleep on my back for 6 weeks AND I could not take a bath or shower. I had to wash up with wet camping cleaning cloths and I'd go to my mother's and have her wash my back with a wet wash cloth. After 6 weeks, I soaked in the tub for a very long time. Good luck and keep us posted.

Good luck! I have seen great results with these combined surgeries. Although I think breast REDUCTIONS should be against the law! HAHA
