My advice would be to talk to your primary care physician and see what he/she recommends to fight the insurance co. The PCP is the best person to know your history and how to fight them. Best of luck. Mary

My advise is to get a copy of your policy from HR and read it. I am employeed by Admininistaff which has 78,000 employees, but on page 41 of the policy it says "No bariatric coverage of any kind for any condition" and I fought it with a law firm and lost, so I had to pay the attornies and the Doctors and hospital. It was worth it, because I am a new man with many years added to my life. Best of success to you.

I have Pacificare in Oregon and it is part of United Healthcare now. I recommend to anyone talking to the people at ObesityLaw.com. They are wonderful and fought my denial for me and got me approved. They will be able to tell you if you have a chance at getting approved or not. Kelley and Walter are wonderful people who really care and fight for the patient since Walter went through it personally. And it doesn't matter what state you are from they will help you.
