Yes Jennifer, I do feel that I am not loosing weight as fast as I should, but then I stop and think about the fact that i have lost almost 50 pounds since the beginning of November. I went through the holidays without having any trouble and lost over 20 pounds in December. I am trying to learn how to stop feeling guilty for not losing as fast as I wish. I am losing from 3/4 pound - 1 1/2 pound a week. All I can say is hang in there and keep doing what you are doing. In a year we will have come a long way!

I feel that also... I remember what I was eating before and stayed at the same weight. Now I eat like 10 times less and lose only a pound or 2 a week.... It is depressing at times. I eat so little compared to what I used to and I should be losing a lot more.

I think everyone feels that way as they are losing the weight. I think we expect to see a new person in too short a time. But it really take a good year and it is later that you look back and see how fast it really went. People who don't see you daily see it as super fast. I didn't even feel like I was getting anywhere until I had lost a good 60 lbs or so...THEN I really began seeing the loss only it got slower and smaller numbers monthly. But after you lose so much weight, those smaller numbers are very noticeable because weight lost on a smaller person doesn't take that much to see it! It really takes that first year or more to lose the majority of your weight. I lost weight the forst 15 months...and my body shifted, skin shrunk and I filled out from muscle at year 2 after weight loss stopped. I gained back 8 lbs and that's where I stayed ever since....It's a long process, but here I am 5 years out and I look back now and can't believe how fast it all went...Good luck and it's normal to feel this way...

Yes I feel that way at times. But, as mentioned in a previous post. Losing weight slow may be better to not have so much sagging skin. That's my theory anyway. :-)

I feel the same way but I have to remind myself that I didn't get fat overnight so I should expect to get skinny overnight eiter.

Hi! I agree with the other posters. I think everyone feels they are losing slowly. I was losing only 2-3 lbs a week. It depends on a varied number of things. How much you have to lose, what medical conditions you have, how much protein and food you get in. At 3 months post op I had to boost my intake to lose more. I was stalled. Just discuss your concerns with your nutritionist and it will come off! Remember, slower can mean more time to firm up loose skin!hugs, kim
