Hi! I used to have it, only when it was cold, use to gime a stabbing pain in the middle of my stomach. We need to drink water or at least lots of liquid in order to be hydrated. My suggestion and it word for me its to leave the cold water for a few minutes out of the fridge. Another think is that I found in walmart a crystal light packets for hydration and they have a good taste, that way you are going o drink more water. God Bless, and congrats in your 23 pound down.

Is anything else going down or are you getting sick on everything? It may mean your opening isn't big enough. Call your Doctor!!!!

How fast are you drinking the water? If i drank to fast right out of surgery I would get a little sick. Try slowing down and drink room tempture water.

I have had a really hard time with water since the beginning. At first it was worse now it just makes me ache. The ways I have been dealing with it is Hot herbal tea with a little bit of milk. Also, drink very slow. That helped me the most in the beginning. Now I get most of my liquids from fruit, milk, and protein drinks. I miss my water though.

I had and still sometimes have issues with cold water. I drink hot tea first thing in the AM an that seems to "warm up" everything - no pun intended. I am going on 6 months and still - sometimes cold water gets me.

Hi Donna, thanks for writing. I have a horrible time with my water, even 3+ years out. Sometimes I like it cold, sometimes I like it warm, but it is always a chore for me to drink water. But do it anyway. When I first had the surgery it felt like I was drinking concrete. For some reason it just does not sit in my pouch the way you think water would. Milk doesn't do that to me, and other fluids don't do that to me, but water sure does. Be patient, and take it like medication, you must drink water. Find what works for you and just do it. You really need to:) Take care. Patricia P.

i also had this problem when i had gastric bypass (5 yrs out) and i would add a little bit of apple juice to it to drink without it making me feel ill. the nutritionist said that it changed the chemical makeup of water and made the nausea much better. i could eat lots of ice just not water. i still have trouble with drinking just plain water. congrats on ur weight loss. keep it up
