Question:
Drinking water and crystal light

I had my Surgery March 15.I had many fills (I had the lapband) .My last fill was like over two weeks ago.The last 3-4 days when I drink my fluids (besides milk) I get nauseted(mispelled).Does any one know what is going on?Please let me know.Sandy Hanson    — Sandy Hanson (posted on September 7, 2007)

You may be too tight. However, it is weird that milk is ok. Have you started eating real food? If so, how do you do with that?

food is fine,its just the liquid,thats why I think it is weird.I thought maybe I was dehydrated,but I still urinate quite often.

how long after eating are you drinking? I have had 2 fills and if I don't wait until at least an hour after eating, any liquid makes me want to throw up. always check your doc when you have problems.

I wait at least one hour after and 15 minutes before.That is what my doc says.

I had the LAP RNY procedure but I have the same issue and I do wait before and after eating to drink, and I know I am sipping and doing it slowly, but milk goes down easier for me then other liquids as well. Water products make me want to be sick too. I wish I had a good answer for you but I and the doc doesn't seem to know what else it might be, I was diagnosed with a stricture, GERD, and an ulcer, but you shouldn't have issue with those if you were LAP BAND. Let me know if you find a good reason from someone. Because I would love to sip a glass of water without getting sick.
