Question:
How do you know if you are losing the right amount of weight

How do you know you are losing the right amount of weight? I lost 45 lbs fast and now I have not lost anything in three weeks. Am I doing something wrong? I find it hard to eat very much through out the day. And water is very hard to. I can get 2 16oz bottles down but not much more then that. I have lost 45 lbs and 73 inches. Is this it? How long before I start losing again? I read maybe I was not eating enough. So I tried to get the protein bars with no sugar in them. I hope this will help. Thank you (in advance) so much for your help with this.    — bntfive (posted on January 16, 2006)

You'll need to double your water. I know, I know, it was very hard for me, too. How much are you getting in protein DRINKS not made with milk or juice? How are you eating, how much what, when, over how much time?

I was told to do the protein drink, not the bars. You did not say how long it took you to lose 40 pounds. If you are two months, that is really good! I had (and still have) trouble eating and drinking enough. If I eat what I should, I am too full to drink, and I get sick if I push it. If I drink what I should, I cannot eat enough. LOL - I am a year out. Everyone is different. 40 lb is really good!

Every now and then your body is going to say "WHOA!" It is called plateau. Just keep following the diet and drinking the water. It will start up again any time. Remeber to also keep at gentle regular exercise. Probably if you try to measure yourself once a week, you'll find you are losing inches and that's good too. Good luck and relax! Allee
