Question:
Does anyone out there know why somedays we can Eat Alot?

I'm 3-1/2 months post op RNY open I have lost 69 lbs so far I do ok with eating but some days I find my self getting the munchies and chowing down Ofcourse not nearly like someone with a normal stomach... But more than normal for me.. then the next day I'm back to normal a few bites and god forbid I try an extr bite Know what I mean? Why does this happen? I don't feel full or nausious at all like an empty pit! I get worried, I know this has happened before and I was always ok but I'm afraid I might hurt myself. Don't get me wrong I try to take it easy when I'm haveing one of those days..But If any one knows why this happens or how it is possibal please enlighten me. Any online MD's out there with any info would be greatly appreciated also. Thanks    — Ann F. (posted on March 30, 2000)

Ann: About the only time I even got the munchies is when I was not getting enough Protein in me..(like a day out with the grandkids and no real time to sit down and eat proper or when shopping for new clothes yea!!! and miss a meal) I have found if I get all my ingested protein in, I don't even think about snacks also make sure your getting in all your water.. I drink a quart between meals.. And by the way Ann great weight loss.. ;-)

I have days that I can eat more than others. Yesterday, I ate 1/3 of a meal from Long Horns and got sick. I snack some days more than others. I think our bodies are telling us when we are hungry. I had surgery Nov 9 and have lost 66.5 pounds so far. I feel and look fantastic! Gloria
