THE PROTEIN COUNTER. It lists the protein grams for anything you can possibly think of (including antelope, go figure). I just called the book store and asked them if they had it. They did. It is also available on Amazon.

Donna: If you will go to www.dietwatch.com and download their free program.. (it operates online) any foods you key into it will tell you the protein content as well as other nutrition values

I just bought an awesome book which someone on this site recommended. It's called "The Complete Book of Food Counts" by Corinne T. Netzer. I got the paperback at Books A Million for 7.50 and Amazon also has it. It lists calories, protein, fat, sodium, carbs, cholesterol, and fiber for just about any food you can imagine. It also includes comprehensive lists of fast food items from nationsl chains like McD's, Taco Bell etc. A facinating read for those of us to whom food matters so much.

I use a program called DietLog for my Palm Pilot. It works great and allows me to keep up with how many grams of protein I have eaten during the day. Check out www.dietlog.com for their products.

I have a great book called Protein Power by Drs. Eades. It is not simply a listing of protein grams, but shows you how much protein you need to maintain your lean weight and lose the fat. I think it is a fantastic complement to wls and, in fact, the theories presented in the book may actually be why the wls works so well! If you are into reading things like that it is a great resource. It also shows you how to calculate your percent body fat using just waist and hip measurements and how much protein you will require to maintain lean body mass.
