Question:
Can you recommend a plastic surgeon in Texas?

I am 17 months post-op and have lost 190 lbs. I'm actively looking for a plastic surgeon in Texas who has experience with bariatric patients needing a multitude of procedures (panni removal, thigh lift, breast augumentation, brachioplasty, etc). Willingness to work hard on my behalf with my insurance company to have these procedures covered is a must! There are very few plastic surgeons on the "find a doc" page with what I consider to be a goodly number of reviews to help me make my decision. I have heard wonderful things about Dr. LoMonaco, but he is not listed as a provider with my insurance company. Can you recommend a plastic surgeon? Why would you recommend this surgeon?    — Lisa C. I also heard good things about Dr. LoMonaco, but he's not on my list of providers either. I'm tempted to have a consult with him just to see what the difference would be (my ins. already has approved me for tummy tuck - just need to see if it's still good). I've consulted with Dr. Donna Cash, and Dr. Michael Chaney (both in the Houston area) and would recommend Dr. Chaney, he seemed very nice and the pictures of his previous work really gave me a sense of what to expect. I'm just not sure how experienced he is with post-ops.

I have had a full consultation with Dr LoManaco of Houston. I can't sign his praises enough. His staff was caring and professional. Dr L made me feel hope. He showed me results of other surgeries he has done with my same procedures. He was kind, smart, funny, gentle, supportive, and encouraging. He is experienced with post op bariatric patients. He has called me personally and will fight with insurance companies himself on behalf of his patients. I hope you will go see him. You could not ask for better care or results. Dr. Edward Berzin in Houston. He is with Baylor College of Medicine group. He is excellent. Also Dr. Freeman. Both are in Scurlock Towers in Medical Center.
