Question:
Is it common for your weight loss to slow down about 6 months postop?

This month so far I have lost maybe 5 lbs at the most. I havent changed anything in the way of protein intake/exercise. My appetite varies. For example, About a week ago I had a chicken soft taco from taco bell and was able to eat the whole thing (that worried me) and then I had one yesterday for dinner. About 20 minutes after I had that one yesterday I felt so uncomfortably full. I didnt feel that way when I first finished it. Sorry to ramble on. Anyway, did anyone's weight loss slow down at this point postop? Im probably worrying too much as usual!    — Kris T. (posted on July 17, 2003)

you're totally normal :>) Doesn't it feel great to read it in print? Also it's very common to eat varying amounts on different days - just like pre-op.

If you go to the weight planner section of the AMOS website, you will see that you are normal, in print, that way too :-)

This must be very common. It sure happened to me. I had been losing at least 10 per month then suddenly it was only 6. It picked up the next month, but seem like this is going to be another slow one. The scale has not moved in 2 weeks.

Ohmigosh, it is the slowest after the 6month mark. Now that was just for me but I read about it before I hit the 6 month mark and boom--it happened. Depressing but that's the way it goes! Good luck. 212/114.5/108
