Question:
I am only 7 months out from surgery and already have a large pannus.

Since I still have over 100 pounds to lose, a pannilectomy is not in my immediate future. Before surgery I had already been dealing with back pain and yeast infections because of drooping breasts and stomach. Now I'm also having problems "tucking in" my stomach. Even though I've lost 85 pounds, I haven't gotten into a pair of jeans yet because I can't get my gut folded up and tucked in. I would appreciate any encouraging words and/or advice in pannus care and maintenance between now and surgery.    — Nanette T. (posted on March 11, 2001)

I am preop but I have a large panni because of c-section and even after 10 years I still have not been able to loose that "baby fat". I was complaining to my ob/gyn about frequent yeast infections and feel like I am always having to have her call in something for them. She put me on a maintenance dosage of diflucan. 1 pill every 3 weeks whether I have it or not. I haven't started but I have been on it like that one other time and it helped alot. You may want to try that if you already haven't. As for back pain - I don't really have any advice for that since I continuously take hydrocodone for that and it still doesn't help.
