Question:
I don't have many stretch marks........does this mean......

that my skin will pretty much shrink as I lose weight after surgery? I only have a few , and I mean few, stretch marks on my stomach, mostly from when I was pregnant. None on my arms or anywhere else either. I'm wondering if this will have any influence on my skin shrinking back to normal? I was told that this is a sign of good elasticity in my skin. Any post ops know anything about this? Thanks.    — Kim B. (posted on December 3, 2001)

I am streatch mark city and have been since 10th grade or something. I remember going to the ER once around this time and the doc wondered if my mom had done something to abuse me there were so many marks. Anyhow my skin is shrinking nicely, after my surgery july 23rd and 96 pound loss. I am VERY happy about this and didnt look forward to a tummy tuck. I have heard that no stretch marks = good skin rebvound but dont know, I would appear to break that rule.
