Question:
Did anyone get stuck after 3 months and quit loosing?

I had lap rny on 1/3/03. and today i am 80 pounds lighter, happy about that.!! But I lost that the first 6 months and have not lost a pound since no matter what I do. I can eat anything just not fast. I eat a lot of protein low carb. I have tried different calorie counts and nothing is working! Any body else had this problem. I need to loose at least 50 lbs more. started at 265 down to 185. Starting to lift weights two weeks ago. will stress keep it on? ( single mom - work 11 hour days 2 weeks after surgury and have not stoped. any help would be great!!    — denise J. (posted on October 25, 2003)

Stress can be the enemy of weight loss as studies have shown. Sometimes you need to stick with a certain calorie count for a while before you see results. I know that when I begin a new exercise it stunts my loss until I adjust to the new activity. If you can see one maybe a nutritionist could help set you back on the path to losing. I am finding that as I near my goal that I have to eat very differently to keep losing. Surprisingly more and not less seems to be working better for me. I thought I was done losing and then I lost 3 pounds this past week.
