There use to be a great website that I followed called www.suchaprettyface.net. The young girl had quite a following and it was amazing to see her on going transformation. Does anyone know what happened to her? All I get is an "error message" on the site.    — Lisa R. (posted on August 23, 2002)

I have been curious about the site too. I believe she may have had to let it go because she had to pay for it and money was tight. She was also over 2 yers post-op and many people move on around that time (trying to put the "fat years" behind them). If you ever find out, please let me know. She is the reason I began my journey!

I have checked for this same site so many times. I was so disapointed when I went to check on her progress and it was gone. I wondered if it was do to a rather rude posting someone left her a couple of weeks earlier telling her that she "she was too stuck on her looks" since she lost her weight! I was so shocked that anyone would leave such a negative post on kelly's site! I miss hearing how she is doing. I wish she would bring it back! If anyone hears anything please pass the info on. :)

I have heard that there was too much negativity, and people were putting her down for breaking up with her boyfriend after surgery and for her enjoying her life.. she took it down so she could get on with her life without having to deal with all the rude people...

I followed her site for almost a year. I too was dissapointed when she took it down. The last few posts she had made were about some hateful email she had been receiving. I probably would have taken mine down as well for that reason. I wish her the best in whatever she does.

Our surgeons psych doc says that he KNOWS were well adjusted when we quit living the WLS experience. Moving on and living our lives becoomes more important than whatever WLS. I tend to believe this but its sad to loose such a resource. I do remember her saying she couldnt save the world and that her e MAil volume was unreal. Theres a site that arechives old websites. I will have to find that link, we might be able to look at her old site even today! Although th picture info may be limited. I myself found a old Petticoat Junction website thats been gone for years. Its great to be able to look back like that!

I miss that site too. When I first found her site I sat for hours reading her journals. SHe had a great site and I miss it. But, I do understand why she took it down.

Kelly, who owned www.suchaprettyface.net, is a friend of mine and belonged to my support group. She is as lovely on the inside as she is on the outside. Letting go of her website didn't have anything to do with money. However, it had everything to do with moving on. We talked about it at length and she said that as a young woman she felt like all people could see when they saw her was a weight loss surgery success story. She felt that there was so much more to who she was as a person. Some of us, like me, become WLS evangelists, and other use the tools to move past their obesity which is what Kelly did. I miss her website too. It was so open and honest and funny. I miss her too - we enjoyed having her in the group so much. I know she's out there living it up like most twenty-something girls. I'm so proud of her! If I see her or hear from her (we e-mail from time to time) I'll tell her that everyone misses her. Best wishes to all!
