I have Anthem BCBS and they WERE very easy to work with. As of July 1st
they will no longer be covering wls unless your employer purchases a $200
rider for each employee. You are still covered until your policy renews.
I would suggest you call them and visit the VA message board for more info.

I have Anthem and they were wonderful. No hoops and I had approval within
hours of them getting my stuff faxed from the doc's.

I have Anthem BC/BS PPO. I called them everyday to see what was going on,
only to find out that my surgeon's office staff hadn't sent my paperwork in
yet. Once they finally did, I called and they told me they had received it
and it would go to review on friday or monday of the following week. I
called back monday and they said I was approved on friday. I don't know if
it is because they figured I would keep bugging them and they wanted to get
rid of me, or if it was due to my bad back, high BP, PCOS, borderline sleep
apnea and insulin resistance. But they were always very pleasant and
helpful when I called. I haven't had any problems with them at all during
this process. Best wishes for a speedy approval and uneventful surgery,
followed by a new and improved healthy lifestyle.

I have Anthem BCBS and had no problems whatsoever. Liv-Lite handled all of
the insurance. I did check into a tummy tuck and was denied. Good luck to
you!
