Question:
Has anyone had a breast lift payed for by insurance? If not how much is it?

Is it cheaper to have a breast lift done at the same time as a pannelectomy? Will the doctor do it at the same time? — Amina K. (posted on March 14, 2002)

It's almost always cheaper to combine surgeries - it saves you additional cost for anesthesia, operating room, and recovery costs. The surgeon's fee will be what is, regardless of how many procedures he or she is doing. My insurance company paid for my hernia repair and abdominoplasty, but not the breast lift. Total cost to me was about $5,000 ($3,000 surgeon's fee, the balance for hosptial and anesthesiology). It would have almost $9,000 without the combined surgery savings. -Kate-

My Dr said he would NOT do any additional procedures with the abdominoplsty; he said the longer a patient is under anesthesia, the more likely the chance of complications. I think he is pretty conservative; he comes very highly recommended. I know I have heard of other people having several procedures done at once, but not my doctor.

Decided an option for extra cash was to re-fi the house. I found an excellent mortgage loan broker who does other states- better than what I would have gotten with my credit union!!! So glad I found him! Truly excellent in helping me with the extra $$$ money I needed!!! Didn't know where I was going to get the money from or if it would even be possible!!! His name is Ed Benko click on his name and it will take you to his website or just call him: 303-745-745-7003. He is very easy to work with. Give his website a visit, no harm taking a quick glance. www.americanationwidemortgage.com He has really got me a great deal!

Finally...I got my "Tips for Getting Your Plastic Surgery Approved" worksheet on my website. It will help individuals who have medically necessary issues get their plastic surgery covered, at least in part, by insurance. Check www.drlomonaco.com under "Patient Resources"
