Question:
Do our bones

I know I have been called big boned and I just can't imagine being a size 6 or even a 10 because I feel like my bones wont ever be small enough. Did anyone else think that pre-op and now know for sure that it was possible to be that small? I just always thought I had a large frame...    — Sabrina Plunkett (posted on October 4, 2003)

I was just at a get together with some post ops, and one of them was tiny. I mean bone skinny, model, or ballet dancer kind of thin. She was joking about thinking she was big boned preop. I guess you'll know just how big or small boned you are once you lose your weight. Hope you're thrilled with your results. S

Pre-op I always called myself "big-boned", maybe I just hoped that is why I was so big. I started as a light weight, but now I am told that I am tiny. I can wear a 4 and lots of smalls are too big. A year ago I would not have dared to dream that I could get into a 4. I think that you just have to wait and see where you end up.

I am definitely big boned. Always was. I still can almost weart all my rings, and have a size 10 shoe. Even now I have only gone down one bra size from a 40D to a 38D after losing 98 pounds and weighing 150 at 5'7". I now wear a size 10, and an occasional 8. Don't think you can't reach a goal because of your bones. You may actually appear thinner to others when you get close to your goal since your frame will be obvious to them. I now have visible collarbones, and can see my Adams apple. I appear angular and boney to my husband, however, like many post ops, I still see that I could stand to lose a few more. I am hoping this will change when some of my excess skin is removed next summer.

Yes, sorta. I DO have a large frame, according to this link........... http://www.healthstatus.com/fsz.html . You measure your elbow for this one. I suspect I am large framed from waist up, small below. I have always felt like I was built from the spare parts bin. sigh. I'm 5'1", around 110 mostly. Some charts call me pudgy here.
