Anyone out there living in KY been approved for surgery with public aid.

My mother is wanting to have surgery. She has no insurance other than a medical card. Has anyone been approved through public aid for surgery? If so who do I contact to get the ball rolling?    — Snowflake_Princess (posted on December 30, 2003)

YesI had it done just when I went to my Dr that did the WLS I told them I have a med card they made a copy of it and summited it to them I was approved in no time they payed for all of it I was in hosp 5 days went in on wed mor got out sun mor and have done great no problems or pain I never even ot pain meds filled after I got out Best of luck to your mom Take Care Huggs Beth
