yah.. calling works, must be more proactive

Well I called Nooshin at Garrett and we talked now I know what she wants.  Then I called Dr, Sampaths office I have an appointment to see him Aug 3.  Lets hope its a favorable visit.

Congrats!!!  I think that as long as he sees you are working towards making changes and following all of the suggestions of the dietician and specialists he will be happy.  He told me that he doesn't expect drastic changes all at once, but steady changes that are sustainable after surgery is what he wants.  Has he put your name on the wait list for the surgery yet????

 That I do not know, as I have only seen him once.  But I will also see Nooshin the same day.  I'm hoping for surgery before Dec...    Is that unrealistic?

And I think you are realistic assuming you could get surgery before December.  But then again, I have no idea how many people he is seeing/preparing and no idea how many are on the wait list.  I'm just going by what he's told others and myself (which was, "by the end of the year").

You would know because you would have signed the consent forms and filled out some papers for the hospital.  I think that with the extra funding that coming in October there is definately a possibility of having the surgery by the end of the year!!!!!!  Good luck with your appointments, they'll both be great!!!
