Support Groups in Macon/Warner Robins, GA??

I am going through the process to get approved for WLS with Dr. Hart.  The great news is that it is covered by my husbands insurance so I know it will happen in 2012!   Does anyone know of a support group that meets in Macon/WR area?  I used to live in Stockbridge and familiar with the area so I would go that far to have a group.

My friend attends meetings in Warner Robbins, the first the first tuesday every month at flint electric. Hwy 96 at 7:00 pm.

I had gastric bypass surgery done in 2003 at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center by Dr Shriver, MD (LTC),  US Army Medical Corps. I had some problems lately. All Test's came back negative. I still have problems with nausea and vomiting. Would like to join a support group in Perry or Warner Robins. Please advice.

Thank you so much for posting this! I live right off Hwy 96 so this will be very convenient.  Hopefully will have insurance approval within 2 weeks.    So, need this right now!  

Is that group still active??  I've been in Macon for a year and haven't found any groups....I think that I could really use one!

Yes! The next meeting is May 1st, 7pm on Hwy 96 at the Flint Energies Bldg. I haven't been yet because I wasn't sure...but a gentlemen confirmed they are still meeting.  It's the first Tuesday of every month.   I hope to have insurance approval by then!!  Hope to see you there!!

The MiniMees meet the 1st Tuesday of each month 7pm at Flint Energies, 900 GA Hwy 96 (next to Houston Co. High School).  Next meeting is May 1st.

The Middle Georgia Bariatric Surgery Support Group meet the 4th Thursday of each month 7pm at First Christian Church, 100 N. Houston Rd (behind Walgreens at corner of N. Houston Rd and Watson Blvd).  Next meeting is April 26th.
