Surgery in Mexico Question

Hi all,

I am in Canada and we have to have a BMI of over 40 to qualify.  Is this the same for surgery in Mexico?

also how long of a wait time for surgery?

That is not the same in Mexico.  I have a BMI of 34 with co-occuring issues and I am approved.  There is little to no wait - it depends on when you want to have it done.  Hope you find a surgeon you like and move forward!\

I have a BMI of 36. Was approved in one day. My surgery is booked for Sept 4th at a lighter me, Dr. E. Ortiz. Flying from Calgary to San Diego on the 3rd. Getting tired of the waiting. Wishing I had booked to go now! 

No the requirements are not the same.  I gave Dr Alvarez my medical history, he checked me out, and gave me the okay.  My BMI was more like 35.25.
